CHIEF COUNSEL - JACOB L. RAMBO

    Jacob Rambo

Jacob L. Rambo is ABC’s Chief Counsel. Jacob is called “Jake” by friends and colleagues. He began his legal career as a law student prosecutor for the Sacramento District Attorney and the Attorney General’s Criminal Division. He then served as a Deputy District Attorney in Amador and Yolo Counties. In 2007-2008, Jake served as the Team Leader of the Afghanistan Justice Sector Support Program in Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh Province, Afghanistan. He led a team of 16 security contractors, attorneys, and support staff overseeing justice sector development in a five province region. The primary mission was to train Afghan police investigators and prosecutors. He also advised the Provincial Chief Prosecutor and Chief of Police on organizational leadership and sensitive cases. He spent the last six years as an administrative law judge at the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and at the Department of Health Care Services. He is a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the United States Air Force Reserve, currently assigned to the 60th Air Mobility Wing at Travis AFB. He also works as an adjunct law professor at U. C. Davis.

Jake graduated from Cedarville College in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science. He received a Juris Doctorate Degree from U.C. Davis School of Law and passed the California State Bar in 2001.
