Jeff Obrecht is ABC’s Chief Information Officer. Jeff joined ABC in 2016. He manages and supports all Information Technology staff.

Jeff Obrecht brings over 16 years of state service and approximately 30 years of Information Technology experience to the position. Jeff’s experience covers several domains in Information Technology (IT) including Application Development, Project Management, IT Infrastructure, Disaster Recovery, and IT Management. Jeff is dedicated to mentoring and empowering ABC staff to ensure stakeholder satisfaction through the delivery of modern, scalable, and sustainable technology solutions.
Prior to joining ABC, Jeff served California for over eight years at the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS). From January 2010 to May 2016, he was the IT Infrastructure Manager responsible for managing second and third level Desktop Support, Disaster Recovery, Network, Server and Storage teams. In 2012, Jeff was awarded CalSTRS Virtuoso award as one of CalSTRS outstanding employees. Prior to that he was the Network Infrastructure (NI) Manager from July 2008 to January 2010. During his time on the NI team, he led the effort for migrating CalSTRS Server Room to its new headquarters.
Before his experience at CalSTRS, Jeff worked in the private sector in various positions from Project Manager, Systems Architect, Systems Engineer, and Computer Operator. Jeff has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree from the University of Oklahoma.
