California Code of Regulations Section 105 (“Rule 105”) became effective in October 2023 and requires licensees to file malt beverage prices in the Online Beer Price Posting system. If you are a wholesaler or importer and the products you sell are not available in the Online Beer Price Posting system, please contact the manufacturer of the beer to have them input their product names into the system.

California Code of Regulations Section 105.2 (“Rule 105.2”), also effective in October 2023, permits manufacturers, importers, and wholesalers of beer to participate in price promotion programs. A lawful price promotion program allows for a manufacturer or importer to reimburse the wholesaler for a reduction in price to retailers over a specific period of time, subject to the requirements detailed in Rule 105.2.

New functionality will be added to the Online Beer Price Posting system which requires licensees to identify if a posted price involves a price promotion. For information on this new feature, please see FAQ related to price promotions on the Beer Price Posting page on the Department website.
